Hey guys so like I've said in my other post (recap of ep. 2), episode four will be airing tonight (Wednesday) at 10 pm. So here's the recap of episode three before the new one airs...

Episode 3:

Close to the beginning of this episode, you see Donovan wanted to leave because The Countess doesn't love him back, and you see Iris trying to convince him to stay. They have a bit of an argument and you can see how much Donovan hates Iris compared to how much she loves him. She doesn't understand why he hates her so much, and I'm assuming Iris was very overprotective of him since she said she was a single mother and his father was "no good". They really don't go into depth of how she was so bad, just that he wanted to be on drugs to die...pretty depressing huh? Meanwhile, Claudia is killed by a drug addict that was sown into a mattress by Sally (Sarah Paulson), a former drug addict that gave drugs to Donovan at the hotel, making him have an overdose; and then Iris pushed her out of a window after seeing Donovan lying unconscious on the bed.

Next Dr. Alex is dealing with a child patient who has the measles and she then narrates the part of her life after Holden went missing. How she couldn't deal with the outcome if they wouldn't find him, and that she tried to commit suicide by slitting her wrists and laying in the bathtub but Det. Lowe came in and saved her just in time. At this point, she's telling the story in family therapy. Det. Lowe is working on a set of murder cases where the killer is basing his kills off of the Ten Commandments, which is causing him more stress than usual. Eventually Dr. Alex and Det. Lowe are sitting at a bar in the hotel, and she hands him an envelope with divorce papers contained inside. Det. Lowe appears confused and she thinks it's the best idea for Scarlett because they haven't moved past Holden's disappearance. Det. Lowe then breaks down begging not to divorce and that he still loves Dr. Alex, and then admits that he feels like he's going insane. Dr. Alex takes him back to his room, notices the murder cases on his wall, makes a commit then leaves. As she turns down a corner, she sees Claudia in her underwear covered in blood asking her if "this is hell?" and immediately goes back down the hallway. She turns down another hallway and sees a little child at the end of the hall and walks toward them. When she stoops down, she asks "Holden?" and he answers back with "Hi mommy."

Duffy tries to seduce Drake in a private setting, with the intent to kill him. The Countess shakes her head at Duffy and he stops and walks away. Later on, The Countess approaches Drake and tries to seduce him but he admits that he's gay, but that doesn't stop her...until Duffy walks in with an attitude. She then stops while Drake is panting in desperation of her kiss. After the two attempts of seduction on Drake, The Countess and Duffy sit down to discuss some things because he's wondering why she stopped him from killing Drake. The Countess explains that she wants to marry Drake for everything he's worth because a few years ago she met Bernie Madoff and he stole everything from her. So she wants to return the favor, this pleases Duffy and they both smile.

When Donovan left, we find him sucking the life from a young woman on a bench. He takes her drugs and leaves her there and tries to find someone else to prey on. He finds someone having car trouble and gets his knife ready to kill, but instead he is tased in the neck by a woman and put in the trunk of her car. When he awakes he finds himself hooked up to a blood filter machine and the lady appears and she tells him who she is...or rather "who she was". She tells him that her name is Romona Royale (Angela Bassett) and that she was an actress that appeared in a lot of "B" movies wanting to make it big. While speaking to a producer/film executive at dinner, The Countess approaches them and orders the executive to leave the table. Ramona was wondering how she was able to do that and The Countess eventually showed her what she was and turned Ramona into a vampire. They were together for about 20 years or so, but as time went on you saw them drift apart. Ramona met an upcoming rapper at the hotel and fell in love with him. She wanted to turn him into a vampire as well, so while he took a break in the studio, they went to a private room to become intimate and Ramona shared her blood. After they were done and returned to the main room, they found his whole crew/clique dead and The Countess sitting in a chair upset, tears running down her face. The rapper gets upset as well and takes only one step forward before The Countess shoots him in the head and he falls to the ground. Ramona falls near his body upset and The Countess leaves. Ramona ends her story by saying that The Countess only wanted to be queen and no one else could be like her. She tells Donovan that she wants to get her revenge and takes everything that The Countess loves and destroy it. So she's hoping that he can help her achieve this goal, but Donovan announces that The Countess had dumped him the week before and that he left. Ramona becomes frustrated and tells him that he's free to leave...

In the end, Sally and Iris are in a room together because Iris wants drugs to numb her pain of Donovan. Eventually, she falls asleep/in a drugged-like state and Sally places a bag over her head and kills her. Donovan comes back to the hotel to find his mother. He bangs on the door of the room that Sally and Iris are in, and Sally gets irritated and opens the door. Donovan asks what happened to Iris, and Sally answered "this is what she wanted" and he goes to the bed, takes the bag from Iris' face and cuts his wrist, letting his blood drip on Iris' mouth. You can see her lips move slightly; and Sally becomes annoyed that Donovan was saving Iris since she still holds some anger toward her for killing her...

I hope you guys enjoy this recap, as you can tell it's long but that just means that the show is becoming more interesting and more developed and complex. Don't forget to watch the new episode this week...
